Anna Kåri is a freelance photojournalist and documentary photographer based in London. Her work centres around humanitarian issues of migration, refugees, identity and human rights. She travels and works extensively in the Balkans, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Southern Africa, on long term personal projects, as well as jobs for charities and media.

With her 5 year long-term project "The Roma refugees from Kosovo" she has won a Metro young photographers bursary award, The Tom Webster Award and was the runner up in the Ian Parry Awards.

Anna's photography has been published by the Guardian, Independent, Le Monde 2, Politiken, Sunday Times Magazine and many others. She works for charities and humanitarian NGO s such as Save the Children, Red Cross and Amnesty.

Her projects have been exhibited extensively at among other places the Courtauld Institute of Art in London, University of Cantebury, The Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow, The European Parliament, The Imperial War Museum and Proud Gallery in London.

Anna Kåri was selected for the 2005 World Press Masterclass.
