One of the men listens to the news about them on the local news on the radio. He complains that nobody cares about them or their fate. They were hoping the international media would take an interest in them, but except for BBC world nobody has been very interested. He just wants to go home to his life in Kosovo. In May 2003, 700 Roma refugees from Kosovo ­ currently in Macedonia - attempted to cross into Greece, but failed. Turned back by riot police they decided to stay on the border to highlight their plight. After 3 months they gave up and returned back to Skopje, Macedonia's capital.
