One of the young Roma men runs past the medical tent, where a team of nurses from nearby town came every day. In the background you can see the makeshift camp build by the refugees from bits of tree and plastic sheets. In May 2003, 700 Roma refugees from Kosovo currently in Macedonia - attempted to cross into Greece, but failed. Turned back by riot police they decided to stay on the border to highlight their plight. After 3 months they gave up and returned back to Skopje, Macedonia's capital.
